    I don't think it's gonna happen. If I had a Beetle (or if my daughter had a Beetle) I'd want it to have a dual-port 1600, 12v power, and a fully-synchronized transaxle. I know all those things can be done to an Oval, but why should I mess up a '56 when I can get a '71 that has all that stuff, ready to go? Function > form.
