Summer 2013 Trip Part 3: Devil's Tower to Merriman

Picture perfect campsite, the next morning.

Before continuing on our journey, we had to hike all the way around the Tower, of course.

Melissa thought she was a little close to the cliff. I assured her it wasn't actually a cliff. Approaching it after taking this shot, I realized it was in fact pretty much a cliff.

Bye bye, Devil's Tower.

Hello, Wall Drug. While not a fan of kitsch generally, I do love Wall Drug.

Tater Tot refused the obligatory riding-the-jackalope picture.

She was game for posing by the 1-ton petrified log though.

Onward into the Badlands.

After supper it was too dark for decent pictures of the rest of the day, including our entering Nebraska.
